About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated person to help us lead operational excellence and deliver outstanding performance to IKEA customers. Our team focuses on sourcing implementing and developing warehousing and logistics solutions that balance total supply chain cost with service level capacity and sustainability.
As a Service Provider Operations Developer you will play a key role in driving and improving the operational performance of our logistics service providers. Guided by a defined framework and relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) you will ensure excellence across multiple dimensions of logistics operations.
This position serves as a crucial link between the category team and internal stakeholders acting as the go-to expert for operational matters related to our logistics units.
This is a full-time role based in our office in Port Klang Malaysia reporting to the Business Development Manager Contract Logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage the operational performance of logistics service providers across areas such as capacity fulfilment precision quality and safety within your assigned region.
- Provide operational support during the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process.
- Lead the implementation of new logistics units including training and onboarding.
- Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) conduct compliance checks and oversee warehouse operations.
- Align projected capacity needs with optimal capacity planning based on forecasts and supply chain requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and effectiveness in logistics operations.
- Collaborate with the Business Developer to identify cost-saving opportunities for logistics service providers.
- Stay informed on market innovations in warehousing and apply value-adding solutions.
- Keep up with logistics market trends cost drivers and relevant legal and regulatory developments.

About You
We are looking for someone who brings a strong mix of expertise curiosity and drive:
- In-depth knowledge of logistics including contract logistics warehousing and distribution.
- Understanding of market conditions and macroeconomic trends in South and Southeast Asia.
- Strong grasp of supply chain fundamentals and cost structures with excellent negotiation skills.
- Proficient in data analytics and tools like Excel Power BI Qlik Sense and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communicator comfortable engaging with diverse audiences.
- Collaborative team player who thrives in cross-functional environments.
- Self-driven and passionate about operational improvement always seeking smarter solutions.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Change agent who embraces and drives transformation.
- Experience with IKEA Supply Chain and leading cross-functional cross-cultural initiatives.
- Familiarity with IKEA Transport Management System is a plus.
- University degree in logistics economics or business administration.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Fluent in English both spoken and written.
