The purpose of this job is to perform analysis of in process large molecule samples within the Technical Services/Manufacturing Sciences laboratory and produce accurate results within an acceptable timeframe.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide analytical testing across a range of techniques including HPLC (HPAC SEC IEC RPLC NPLC and HILIC) ELISA Capillary electrophoresis (CE-SDS CZE CE-LIF) and UV/VIS spectrophotometry to support TS/MS as part of the team.
- Provide analytical support in troubleshooting.
- Maintenance of minimum stock levels including ordering of laboratory materials/reagents and associated inventory logs.
- Demonstrate problem solving in delivering process and analytical understanding.
- Ability to quickly learn new processes.
- Ability to communicate clearly and to form strong working relationships with colleagues.
- Ability to work on own initiative and be capable of developing solutions to problems as part of a team.
- Willing to operate in a flexible manner and be able to switch priorities at short notice.
- Good team player organised accurate have strong documentation skills.
- To participate in the preparation of reports.
- To document data as dictated by current client policies and procedures.
- Ensure that the customer gets the best possible service by continually reviewing best practice in relation to both commercial and quality issues and ensuring 100% ethical work standards and GMP compliance in a Technical Services lab.
- To learn and be aware of the customers requirements and strive to meet or exceed those requirements keeping in mind the customer process end points.
- To perform other QC samples in accordance with customer procedures.
- To revise SOPs as required by the Group Leader or client representative.
Qualifications :
- An honours degree in Analytical Chemistry or a related discipline is required.
- A sound fundamental knowledge of Analytical Chemistry is essential.
- Relevant experience of pharmaceutical analysis preferably in a development laboratory within a group organization.
- Good foundation and experience with traditional analytical techniques as well as modern instrumental equipment (HPLC UPLC GC Karl Fischer). Must possess good knowledge of analysis methods and tools.
- Good understanding of basic chromatographic techniques.
- Good understanding of Empower 3 Software
- Good understanding of requirements for working in a GMP environment.
- Ability to work in a lab environment with some supervision and be capable of developing solutions to problems as part of a team.
