Location
Located within the heart of Canning Vale Aegis Amherst caters for up to 133 residents providing high quality care services in a secure and friendly living environment. Our purpose-built Facility supports our residents every need and enables choice in daily activities.
About the Role
A working day will involve:
Providing laundry services under the direction and supervision of the Facility Manager according to Facility policies procedures and standards.
Responsible for all in-house washing.
- Compliance to policies and procedures in relation to laundry services and infection control.
- Maintenance of laundry equipment and checking of filtration devices.
- Maintain stock inventory and personal inventory of residents.
- Ironing mending and tagging of laundry items as necessary.
- Promptly reports problems to the Facility Manager.
- Handles laundry chemicals in accordance with safety information and safe handling techniques.
- Return personal clothing to residents cupboards and maintain in tidy condition.
- Other duties as directed by the Facility Manager.
About You
You should ideally be an empathetic person who:
- Enjoys working with the elderly.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Is able to supervise organise and guide staff to deliver high quality catering outcomes.
- Has availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends.
- Can communicate effectively both verbally and written.
You should possess the following:
- Ability to communicate in spoken and written English.
- Preferred - 1 year experience in laundry services.
