Within the Data & Analytics team you will work in a rich technological environment centered around the GCP (Google Cloud Platform) solution.
You will contribute to building BELs data assets as well as implementing use cases that meet the needs of our various business units (Manufacturing Supply Marketing R&D etc.).
You will also participate in projects that migrate legacy data systems to GCP playing an active role in executing the groups Data strategy.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Design and develop data loading and transformation pipelines on GCP using DBT.
- Ensure the quality and integrity of data throughout the development lifecycle.
- Apply best development practices and maintain CI/CD processes for continuous integration and deployment of data projects via GitLab.
- Monitor and manage incidents.
- Participate in peer review and validation of Pull Requests with other Data Engineers.
- Automate data infrastructure using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
- Document architectures pipelines and best practices.
- Stay up to date with technology trends and share insights with the team during dedicated sessions.
Skills:
- Expertise in DBT for data transformation.
- Excellent knowledge of SQL.
- Experience in Python for scripting and developing data tools.
- Advanced proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and associated services (BigQuery Cloud Storage Cloud Run Composer etc.).
- Strong data modeling skills (dimensional relational etc.).
- Experience in automating infrastructure with Terraform.
- Mastery of CI/CD tools and practices ideally with GitLab.
Personal Qualities:
- Dynamic proactive and self-sufficient.
- Team player detail-oriented autonomous and able to work effectively in an agile environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Profile Sought:
Degree in computer science data engineering or a related field with at least 5 years professional experience working on large-scale data projects.
This is a permanent position (CDI) based at Bel Groups headquarters in Suresnes with the option for remote work (2-3 days per week).
