Transition to Perioperative Practice Program
Belmont Hospitals Transition to Perioperative Practice Program offers an exciting opportunity to advance your career as a Registered Nurse. This program provides a structured pathway into perioperative nursing equipping you with the essential knowledge and clinical skills to deliver safe and effective patient care.

Commencing on 16 February 2026 and concluding on the 14 February 2027 this temporary 12-month position will offer hands-on experience in Instrument & Circulating Nurse roles.

Youll be supported by Nurse Unit Managers Clinical Nurse Educators and senior staff with comprehensive service orientation and supernumerary days upon joining the team.

The successful candidate must complete the theoretical component of the program demonstrating a strong understanding critical thinking and application of the knowledge gained throughout the program.

Requirements

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Completion of a 12-month New Graduate Program or equivalent experience in an acute care hospital.
  • Commitment to infection control safety and quality patient care
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday is required
