Fleet and Facilities Manager

Location: Mansfield OH or Port Clinton OH

Full time year-round (non-exempt)

The Fleet and Facility Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight safety compliance and operational efficiency of a growing fleet of 100 vehicles including light and heavy-duty equipment and facilities across Ohio Pennsylvania Michigan and Texas. This role plays a critical part in optimizing fleet utilization ensuring regulatory compliance minimizing downtime and supporting business expansion through proactive facility and fleet operations. The role also includes general support for facility tracking maintenance coordination and repair resolution. The ideal candidate combines problem-solving abilities with strong communication skills and a commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of a diverse fleet including 15% heavier-duty vehicles ensuring all assets are registered licensed insured and in compliance with ODOT and federal regulations.

Develop implement and enforce fleet safety programs; lead regular safety trainings and monitor driver records in coordination with HR.

Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to manage acquisition deployment maintenance and retirement of fleet assets.

Maintain accurate vehicle records and ensure integration of fleet data with HR and operational systems for streamlined compliance and reporting.

Lead accident investigations maintain incident logs and implement corrective actions to mitigate future risks.

Monitor fleet performance metrics analyze operational trends and present regular reports to senior management with actionable insights.

Establish preventative maintenance schedules in collaboration with service providers to reduce downtime and extend vehicle lifecycle.

Conduct site visits across operational markets to support fleet and facility needs ensuring readiness efficiency and safety across all locations.

Support facilities-related initiatives including physical security vendor coordination infrastructure readiness and general repair tracking and resolution.

Coordinate travel to offices and field locations as needed supporting both centralized and decentralized operations.




Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or GED required; Bachelors degree in Business Administration Logistics or related field strongly preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in fleet safety and compliance management preferably in multi-site operations.

Proven understanding of DOT regulations fleet compliance standards and transportation safety protocols.

Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record and current state-mandated auto insurance coverage.

Must be willing and able to travel across operational markets including availability for occasional evenings weekends or holidays based on business needs.

Experience:

Demonstrated success managing a vehicle fleet of 50 units including heavy equipment.

Strong experience with risk assessments driver safety programs and accident/incident response protocols.

Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of fleet management systems safety protocols and DOT compliance frameworks.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to manage and analyze large data sets for operational insights.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and present to leadership.

Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Results-driven with a continuous improvement mindset particularly around fleet productivity and cost efficiency.
