Position Summary
Excel Engineering is seeking a motivated and service-oriented Director of Finance to lead our Finance Administration HR and IT functions. This senior-level role reports directly to the President and plays a key part in strategic planning financial oversight and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership:
Strategic planning and execution
Leadership across administrative teams
Improve systems and maintain internal controls
High integrity and confidentiality
Professional demeanor and flexibility
Commitment to continuous improvement
Finance & Accounting:
Corporate finance principles (S-Corp distributions stock transactions shareholder documentation)
Accounting processes (AP AR GL financial statements)
Budgeting and financial planning
Lead interaction with outside vendors on Tax filing and R&D credit calculations
Financial analysis and cash flow management
Banking relationship management
HR IT & Administration:
Legal and compliance requirements across administrative functions
Employment law EEO reporting HR compliance
IT policy and infrastructure oversight
Insurance and benefits renewal
Payroll and incentive plan administration

Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting Business Administration or related field. Masters or CPA preferred
10 years of experience in finance or accounting
Experience with EOS a plus
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong communication task management and problem-solving skills
Experience leading teams and aligning them with company goals
Ability to interpret business publications and regulations
Advanced knowledge of Deltek VantagePoint is a plus
Advanced knowledge of Paylocity is a plus
Physical ability to perform essential tasks; willingness to travel up to 1015%
