Grant & Proposal Writerto take the lead on developing high-quality proposals RFP responses and related collateral. This role is critical to securing district contracts and other funding opportunities that expand access to our programs.
Position OverviewThe Grant & Proposal Writer manages the full lifecycle of competitive submissions: writing and coordinating RFP responses drafting grant applications and creating polished decks and collateral for prospective partners. This is a writing-intensive deadline-driven role that requires collaboration across sales operations and marketing.
Key Responsibilities- Lead responses to 4-6 RFPs per month ensuring timely compliant and persuasive submissions.
- Research write and edit grant applications for public and private funding opportunities.
- Develop compelling sales decks one-pagers and case studies tailored to district needs.
- Collaborate with marketing to produce collateral such as parent flyers and program overviews.
- Maintain a library of boilerplate language program descriptions and impact data for reuse.
- Coordinate proposal calendars deadlines and logistics with internal stakeholders.
- Track opportunities in a central system and report regularly on pipeline status.
- Ensure messaging is clear professional and aligned with codeCampus brand and mission.
What Success Looks Like- High (60%) win rate on district RFPs and grant applications.
- A scalable library of content that accelerates the proposal process.
- Sales team equipped with polished persuasive collateral.
- Strong professional communication with funders and district partners.
QualificationsRequired:- 35 years of experience in grant writing proposal writing or RFP management.
- Experience with school district RFPs education services contracts and nonprofit funding.
- Proven success winning contracts or funding through written submissions.
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to juggle multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace Microsoft Office and presentation tools (Google Slides/PowerPoint).
Preferred:- Familiarity with California education funding streams (ELO-P Title I afterschool grants).
- Background in K12 education enrichment or related fields.
- Light design skills (e.g. Canva Adobe or similar).
Compensation & Benefits- $60k-$65k base salary depending on experience.
