Job Description

An outstanding independent school in Medway Kent is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teacher starting in January 2026. In this role you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality education to Key Stage 1 students supporting their academic social and personal development. You will join a supportive and dynamic team of educators committed to creating a nurturing stimulating and engaging learning environment.

KS1 Teacher Responsibilities
Plan prepare and deliver engaging lessons for KS1 students.
Implement a variety of teaching strategies to motivate and inspire young learners.
Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback and setting targets.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the KS1 curriculum and share best practices.
Maintain a safe nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
Participate in staff meetings professional development and other school activities as required.

KS1 Teacher Requirements
Bachelors degree in Education or a related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Proven experience teaching KS1 students in a primary school setting.
Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment methods.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual learners.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and best teaching practices.
Flexibility and adaptability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
