Job Summary
Job Summary (List Format):
- Lead the end-to-end design development and deployment of high-quality APIs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product managers architects developers) to define API specifications and requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the API development team.
- Ensure APIs are secure scalable and maintainable following best practices and industry standards.
- Monitor and optimize API performance making necessary improvements.
- Stay current with emerging API technologies and trends integrating advancements as appropriate.
- Promote API-first principles throughout the organization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex API integration and functionality issues.
- Document API designs processes and usage guidelines for stakeholders.
- Utilize expertise in REST GraphQL TypeScript and API management platforms (e.g. Kong Apigee AWS API Gateway).
- Apply knowledge of security protocols cloud services (AWS Terraform) and DevOps practices (CI/CD automation).
- Must be local to NC; hybrid work arrangement; W2 only no sponsorship available.
