Job Summary
Job Summary (List Format):
1. Role: Program Manager in the Microsoft Azure Compute team responsible for driving execution of customer adoption programs for Azure Virtual Machines VMSS and Cloud Services.
2. Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years in the software industry with at least 3 years of experience specifically as a program manager.
3. Top 3 Skills Required:
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal written and presentation including interaction with peers and executives)
- Strong technical aptitude (hands-on experience with SQL/Kusto queries Power BI dashboard creation and automation tools)
- Knowledge of Azure Cloud (hands-on experience preferred; deep understanding of distributed/cloud-based systems is required)
4. Core Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain program initiatives in alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and refine assessment protocols to evaluate and improve ongoing programs.
- Oversee multiple project teams to ensure achievement of program objectives.
- Collaborate with sponsors cross-functional teams and product managers to define scope deliverables resources work plans and timelines.
- Analyze and mitigate program risks and create program status reports for stakeholders.
- Produce high-quality documentation tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.
5. Leadership & Management:
- Demonstrated ability to strategize coordinate delegate and optimize program productivity from inception to completion.
- Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction quality and performance across all programs managed.
6. Technical Expectations:
- Must be hands-on: ability to write basic SQL/Kusto queries build Power BI dashboards and leverage automation for productivity.
- Experience with distributed and/or cloud-based systems (preferably Azure).
7. Educational Background:
- in Computer Science is preferred but other technical degrees (BCA MCA BSc IT) are acceptable if skill requirements are met.
- Advanced technical degree or MBA is a plus.
