Junior Data Engineer

Location: (Remote) Based out of Fort Hood TX

Security Clearance: Verifiable DoD Secret (or higher) is Required

Certifications: Must meet DoD 8570 Baseline Certifications (Sec Net or higher)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PowerBI dashboards to support command decision-making and operational reporting.
• Configure and support PowerApps solutions to automate workflows and improve end-user accessibility.
• Perform data preparation transformation and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability of reporting outputs.
• Work with stakeholders to capture requirements translate them into technical specifications and deliver solutions.
• Contribute to the design and execution of ETL/ELT pipelines and dataflows connecting Army Vantage and other approved data sources.
• Conduct independent testing and troubleshooting of dashboards reports and applications ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Produce technical documentation metadata and user guides to support sustainment.
• Provide Tier II user support for dashboards and apps resolving issues and escalating complex challenges when necessary.
• Participate actively in Agile sprint activities contributing to backlog refinement sprint planning and reviews.
• Assist in training and knowledge transfer to III Corps personnel for long-term sustainment.

Basic Qualifications Required Education Certifications Skills and Experience

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Systems Data Analytics or related field (Associate s degree with equivalent experience acceptable).
• 3 5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering business intelligence or application development.
• Practical expertise with PowerBI dashboard development and/or PowerApps configuration.
• Familiarity with SQL data modeling and integration tools.
• Ability to deliver completed solutions with minimal oversight.
• Strong troubleshooting documentation and analytical skills.
• Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Minimum Citizenship Status Requirements: US Citizen
