Job Summary

Senior Data Engineer

FedTec is seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer who will serve as the technical lead for the development and deployment of PowerBI dashboards and PowerApps . This role is responsible for leading the design integration and sustainment of solutions that leverage Army Vantage and other approved data sources to provide accurate timely and actionable insights for command leadership. The Senior Engineer will oversee technical architecture guide dashboard and application development and ensure all solutions meet standards for security usability and performance.

Location: (Remote) Based out of Fort Hood TX

Security Clearance: Verifiable DoD Secret (or higher) is Required

Certifications: Must meet DoD 8570 Baseline Certifications (Sec Net CCNA or higher)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Lead the design development and deployment of enterprise-level PowerBI dashboards for III Corps staff and subordinate units.
Architect and oversee the configuration of PowerApps solutions to automate workflows and improve mission data accessibility.
Manage dataflows ETL/ELT pipelines and integration with Army Vantage and other approved systems.
Establish standards for data validation accuracy and reliability ensuring consistent and authoritative outputs.
Provide technical leadership to intermediate and junior engineers reviewing code validating models and guiding implementation.
Conduct advanced testing performance tuning and quality assurance for dashboards and PowerApps.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements prioritize features and translate operational needs into technical solutions.
Develop and maintain documentation including technical architecture workflow diagrams metadata and SOPs.
Serve as the primary technical advisor to the Project Manager and customer on dashboard and PowerPlatform implementation.
Lead knowledge transfer and training activities to ensure III Corps staff can sustain and expand delivered solutions.
Participate in Agile sprint activities driving backlog prioritization sprint planning and technical reviews.

Basic Qualifications Required Education Certifications Skills and Experience

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field.
7 10 years of progressive experience in data engineering business intelligence or application development.
Demonstrated expertise in PowerBI dashboard design and implementation.
Strong hands-on experience with PowerApps or equivalent low-code/no-code platforms.
Proficiency with SQL data modeling and integration of large datasets.
Experience working in Agile environments delivering iterative solutions.
Ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior staff.
Strong analytical troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
Excellent communication skills for interfacing with senior leadership and technical teams.
Minimum Citizenship Status Requirements: US Citizen
