Job Title: Litigation Attorney
Job Location: Plainville MA

Job Description:
Possess strong knowledge of residential foreclosure process and general real estate law including litigation title curative / title claims and post-judgment litigation (with preference given to candidates with experience handling FDCPA RESPA and TILA claims as well as creditor rights generally).
Review and analyze pre- and post-judgment title issues to ensure marketable title to our clients or identify potential title issues and assess resolution options.
Conduct legal research.
Draft substantive pleadings motions legal opinions and memoranda.
Appear at court hearings mediations depositions and other required appearances on behalf of clients.
Analyze cases propound focused discovery and assist clients with responses to discovery requests including identifying responsive documents and reviewing documents for potential issues.
Communicate effectively written and verbally with clients on issues that may affect foreclosure provide legal advice on proposed strategies and assess the range of outcomes based upon the legal and business considerations that apply.
Develop and implement focused litigation plans to further the efficient and ethical resolution of litigated matters.
Maintain case management status report and meet regularly with paralegals on assigned matters.
Manage a large volume of workload effectively and efficiently.
Meet minimum monthly billable hour requirements.
Regularly review and approve pre-bills for time input by attorneys or paralegals on assigned files.
Requirements:
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Massachusetts Bar member in good standing; admission in the Rhode Island and New Hampshire Bars preferred.
At least 3-5 year of practice civil litigation/trial experience with preference given to candidates that possess experience in the area of residential or commercial real estate foreclosure FDCPA RESPA and TILA claims as well as creditor rights generally.
Computer savvy and experience with the Microsoft Suite of programs case management software; strong court room appearance; civil jury or non-jury trial experience; keen attention to detail; organized; ability to multi-task; possess strong work ethic and willingness to be part of a team.
