Role Overview :
We are seeking a Head of Payroll to manage a portfolio of UK clients in a growing outsourcing business. This is a hands-on varied and ambitious role focused on leading end-to-end payroll processes client onboarding and team development.
Principal Responsibilities :
- Operational Leadership: Collaborate with the UK Head of Payroll to oversee operations manage resources and plan client Go Lives.
- Customer Implementations: Manage client onboarding implementations ensuring careful and efficient resource management and adherence to deadlines.
- Customer Service Excellence: Deliver exceptional service build strong client relationships and ensure satisfaction through effective problem-solving issue resolution and escalation handling.
- Payroll Support & Improvement: Provide conceptual guidance to teams identify areas for improvement in payroll processes and implement solutions for better efficiency and accuracy. Stay current with UK legislation and compliance changes.
- Training & Development: Conduct engaging training for team members and new recruits and develop materials for effective knowledge sharing.
- Client Management: Manage client expectations ensuring seamless alignment of their processes with our systems and finding solutions for functionality gaps.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Experience: 7 years of hands-on experience as a payroll manager in a UK payroll outsourcing setting with some level of change management experience.
- Expertise: Solid understanding of UK payroll laws regulations and compliances.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using payroll software and related tools.
