Job Summary
Hire Resolves client is currently looking for a skilled Instrument Technician to join their mining team based in Gauteng. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing instrumentation systems through inspections maintenance calibrations installations and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular plant inspections and perform instrumentation maintenance.
- Manage the purchasing and control of spares to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Implement modifications and equipment renewals as required.
- Participate in hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies and select suitable equipment.
- Install commission and program control systems including PLCs.
- Perform and document equipment calibrations in line with applicable standards.
- Respond to breakdowns and provide technical support to instrumentation personnel.
- Ensure compliance with safety health environmental quality and security standards.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- N6 or Diploma in Instrumentation and Process Control
- Instrument Mechanician Trade Test Certificate
- 3 years experience in control systems including SCADA and PLC Networks
- 3 years experience as an Instrument Technician within the mining industry
- Knowledge and experience withSiemens PLC (Advantageous)
- Valid Drivers License
