Onsetter C1

Your day-to-day duties will include:

The Onsetter is responsible to ensure that shaft operations and procedures under your control are performed in accordance with the relevant legislation and procedures.

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Completes pre-start and daily maintenance checks on equipment and safety devices at each station before commencing work.
• Reports repairs or replaces sub-standard components.
• Maintains equipment and accessories to required standards.
• Obtains shaft delivery schedule and takes crew to required station
• Signals clearance and controls arrival of cars
• Removes cars from material way to station area
• Ensures adherence to procedures for sensitive materials
• Receives and checks shaft schedules
• Monitors and records the delivery of material to the levels
• Encourages initiatives and delegates responsibility where appropriate
• Shares information with the team
• Provides technical mentorship and guidance

Qualifications :

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Onsetters certificate

Experience & knowledge required:

• At least one year experience at Operational shaft
• Station controller specific modules
• Certificate of Fitness
• Valid Red Ticket
