Job Description
A Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant at Summerset is more than just a cleaner.
Youre a quiet hero behind the scenes keeping our village fresh homely and dignified for the people who live here.
Were looking for a hardworking caring Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant to join our warm and welcoming Bell Block village team. This role is all about making sure our residents feel comfortable safe and truly at home.
As a Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant youll be a key part of creating a clean uplifting and homelike environment for residents their whānau and fellow team members.
Your day-to-day activities will include:
- Ensuring high-quality cleaning across resident rooms bathrooms communal areas laundry and kitchen facilities
- Laundering folding and returning residents clothing and linens with care and attention
- Labelling mending and maintaining residents personal laundry items
- Supporting infection control measures and health and safety procedures
- Building friendly respectful relationships with residents and understanding their unique needs
This is a Casual role on an as and when required basis.
Qualifications :
Youll be a great fit if you:
- You have experience in housekeeping ideally in healthcare or hopsiatlity
- Take pride in your work and care about the small details
- Are physically fit and comfortable working on your feet
- Have a genuine interest in aged care (no experience necessary full training provided)
