Job Summary: This position will provide support to the Division in order to enhance its ability to deliver high-quality strategic innovation initiatives for WFP staff across all levels of the organization. The role holder will work closely with colleagues within and outside the Division to identify opportunities to improve processes systems and tools as well as contribute to wider cross-organization projects and initiatives related to strategic innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the identification of opportunities to improve processes systems and tools;
Provide input to project documentation including scoping documents business requirements and user manuals;
Support the implementation of identified improvements by providing guidance to relevant stakeholders on new processes or systems;
Conduct research into best practices and cutting edge technology solutions that could be applied within the organization;
Assist with knowledge management activities such as capturing lessons learned from previous projects and documenting them in a clear and accessible manner;
Liaise with internal partners and external experts to ensure that new approaches are fully tested before being implemented;
Identify areas where training may be required to enable staff to effectively utilize new processes systems or tools;
Ensure that all projects are managed according to established standards and guidelines including those related to quality risk accountability and transparency.

Qualifications:
Enrolment in a degree programme in a relevant field at postgraduate level OR enrolment in the Young Professionals Programme;
Knowledge of strategic planning organizational development change management and/or business process analysis would be an asset;
Demonstrated interest in humanitarian work and/or international development;
Experience working with Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel and Word;
Ability to quickly understand complex issues and develop appropriate solutions;
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal;
Ability to take ownership of tasks and complete them to a high standard;
Commitment to teamwork and collaboration;
Ability to think critically and creatively;
Proactive approach to problem solving;
Self-motivated and able to prioritize competing tasks.
