Job Description:
Reporting directly to the Project Controls Manager the Cost Manager/Lead will:
Drive Excellence & Standards
Promote performance standards and technical excellence through expert communication.
Financial Oversight & Reporting
Support Project/Programme Managers in monthly finance and delivery reviews.
Collaborate with Finance to ensure all evidence is available.
Produce accurate cost reports and forecasts for projects (monthly & lifecycle).
Ensure forecasts align with project timelines by working closely with planners.
Monitor costs to ensure continued affordability.
Cost Engineering & Support
Support and develop Cost Engineers within the team.
Assist with forecasting and tracking of project costs.
Contract & Invoice Management
Attend monthly supplier meetings and manage contract admin via CEMAR.
Raise purchase orders contracts and receipt invoices as needed.
Check invoices/valuations and advise PMs on queries.
Monitor changes and attend change control/EWN meetings.
Additionally provide support to joint venture cost controllers with submission of invoices and receipting of payments.
Qualifications :
Qualifications Skills & Experience
Strong Communicator Able to engage professionally with a wide range of stakeholders.
Analytical & Detail-Oriented Skilled in identifying analysing and solving problems efficiently.
Reporting & Presentation Skills Confident in preparing for cost and month-end review meetings.
Project Controls Experience Worked within wider project controls teams on complex projects.
Cost Engineering Expertise In-depth knowledge of cost engineering control and analysis.
Estimating Experience 5 years preferred.
Chartered Status Ideally Chartered or actively working toward it.
Professional Membership Relevant membership held or in progress.
CEMAR Practical experience with contract administration systems.
NEC Contracts NEC experience preferred and advantageous.
