Core Responsibilities
The Technical Operative is responsible for the effective running and basic maintenance of the factory machinery. Reporting to Operations this role plays a key part in the smooth running of the production line. The equipment used will vary from box erectors to vertical form fillers and multihead weighers. Role will include:
- Basic proactive maintenance of equipment
- Carry out minor repairs on machinery
- Operate machinery as part of the production team
- Complete daily safety start up checks
- Respond to first instance blockages and stoppages
- Regular cleaning of equipment
- Liaise with the Engineering department on matters associated with the equipment
- Support the production team on clear down days to clean the picking loops and/or repack area
Who You are
- Previous experience gained within a similar role
- Mechanically minded with working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- A confident and forward thinking team player.
- Excellent attention to detail flexibility and problem solving.
Qualifications :
Ideally Food Safety level 1
