Job Summary The Certified Nurse Assistant (C.N.A.) supports nursing staff in delivering compassionate high-quality care to residents and patients. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities such as eating dressing bathing personal care and mobility as well as supporting education recreation and transportation needs.
The C.N.A. reports directly to the RN/LPN team leader maintaining resident privacy dignity and confidentiality in accordance with Covenant Health policies procedures and standards of care.
Education & Licensure Requirements Key Responsibilities -
Assist residents/patients with activities of daily living: feeding bathing ambulation skin care and toileting.

Take and record vital signs and weights accurately and promptly report changes to the supervising nurse.

Follow all Universal Precaution and infection control procedures.

Document intake and output per physician orders and unit standards.

Maintain confidentiality and uphold resident rights at all times.

Foster positive respectful communication with patients families and team members.

Provide care as directed by the RN/LPN in alignment with the resident s plan of care.

Assist with patient/family orientation to the unit and facility.
-
Demonstrate empathy professionalism and flexibility in all interactions.

Support teamwork problem-solving and a collaborative environment.

Exhibit a strong commitment to providing exceptional care to long-term care and skilled rehabilitation residents.
