Job Description

Certified Medical Assistant
Fast-paced high-volume clinic looking for a top skilled Certified Medical Assistant
**Sign-On for Eligible New Hires**
Work location: 2005 Fort Worth Highway - Suite 200 Weatherford TX 76086
Work hours: Full-time; 40 hours weekly; Monday - Thursday (8am - 5pm) Fridays (8am - 3pm)

Heres What You Need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
  • CMA - Current Medical Assistant Certification (REQUIRED)
  • 1 years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant (PREFERRED)
  • ACLS or BCLS upon hire (PREFERRED)

What You Will Do
  • Obtains and records vital signs including but not limited to blood pressure temperature pulse respiration height weight drug allergies and current medications and presenting problems.
  • Administers ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral injection topical rectal ophthalmic and/or inhalant administration.
  • May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis as well as perform routine tests such as EKG.
  • Documents patient plan(s) of care tests and examination results in the medical record as directed by the provider.
  • Communicate with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by physician.
  • Escalates non-routine issues questions and/or concerns to the practice manager or healthcare provider(s).
  • Ensure safety checklists/quality controls are completed as required.
  • Provides patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights.
