Our client a prestigious Am Law 100 firm is seeking a highly skilled Associate or Counsel to join its expanding Employment & Labor practice.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience in California employment litigation advice and counseling. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting legal research and drafting motions pleadings and dispositive motions.
- Representing clients in court appearances arbitration proceedings and government investigations.
- Drafting and responding to discovery requests as well as preparing meet-and-confer letters.
- Defending employers in individual and class action wage and hour matters as well as PAGA claims.
- Preparing and reviewing employment and severance agreements workplace policies and Employee Handbooks.
Key Requirements:
- 7 to 8 years of experience (ONLY) in labor and employment law with a strong focus on California employment matters.
- Proven track record advising employers and defending complex litigation in both court and arbitration.
- Active member in good standing of the California Bar (or eligible for admission by waiver).
