Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented compassionate and proactive Remote Medical Assistant to join our this role you will be responsible for supporting healthcare providers by managing patient communications scheduling appointments maintaining medical records and assisting with administrative tasks. As a key member of our remote team you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations while delivering exceptional patient care remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Communication & Support:

Respond to patient inquiries via phone email or secure messaging.

Provide timely follow-up on patient concerns appointments and medical requests.

Educate patients on medical procedures medications and treatment plans as directed by healthcare providers.

Appointment Scheduling & Coordination:

Schedule patient appointments including telemedicine visits in accordance with provider availability and patient preferences.

Send reminders for upcoming appointments and assist patients with rescheduling if needed.

Confirm patient insurance details and verify eligibility.

Medical Record Management:

Accurately document patient history symptoms and medical information into electronic health records (EHR).

Ensure patient records are up-to-date complete and compliant with HIPAA regulations.

Assist with preparing patient charts for virtual appointments.

Administrative & Clerical Support:

Assist with processing medical orders lab results prescriptions and referrals.

Coordinate between patients and providers to ensure the smooth flow of healthcare services.

Manage and maintain medical office supplies and inventory.

Telehealth Support:

Help set up and facilitate telehealth appointments ensuring patients are comfortable with the technology.

Troubleshoot technical issues related to virtual consultations.

Monitor virtual waiting rooms and manage patient flow for telemedicine appointments.

Qualifications:

Education & Certification:

Degree High school diploma or equivalent (required).

Medical Assistant certification (CMA RMA or equivalent) preferred.

CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.

Experience:

At least 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant preferably in a remote or telemedicine setting.

Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Experience with telehealth platforms is a plus.

Skills & Abilities:

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision.

A high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and medical office software.

Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new software quickly.
