Blue Forge Recruitment is proud to partner with some of the most dynamic and forward-thinking retail and FMCG brands across Ireland. We are currently working with a successful local convenience supermarket business in the Dublin 12 area known for their market-leading standards and commitment to exceptional fresh food retailing.
A modern convenience supermarket is seeking a Store Manager or Assistant Manager to take up the running of this busy store and support the business owner. This is a local business in the heart of the Crumlin area the shop employs up to 18 staff and is assessable via a busy commuter belt.
Experience independent retailing and fresh food experience would be a distinct advantage.
Salary will DOE the retailer is opened to discussing bonus depending on which role.
Responsibilities for this Retail Store Manager Job:
- Oversee the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of the retail store ensuring consistent delivery of high standards across all departments and overall premises.
- Support the business owner in driving stores commercial performance by maximising profitability and sales while effectively controlling key cost areas such as waste shrinkage and labour.
- Lead and develop the team to deliver exceptional standards in merchandising customer service and hygiene maintaining and enhancing the brands reputation.
- Apply good HR and Health & Safety practices within the store ensuring full compliance with employment legislation company policies and industry regulations.
Requirements for this Retail Store Manager Job:
- Proven experience as a Retail Grocery Manager or a more experienced Assistant Manager in a comparable retail food environment
- Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to effectively lead develop and motivate teams under them.
- Commercially astute with an eye for identifying opportunities to drive revenue growth managing costs effectively and leveraging supplier relationships to benefit the business.
- Good working knowledge of Labour Law Health & Safety regulations HACCP and Consumer Law.
