We have an exciting maternity cover opportunity for an Enterprise Adviser within the Careers and Employability Directorate. This role offers an opportunity for a motivated and multi-skilled person to support delivery of our enterprise offer. This includes the Hatchery Female Founders and BSEEN programmes which supports students who are keen to start a business developing their knowledge and skills to succeed with their future venture. You will have a direct impact on students and graduates running engaging workshops and events running 1:1s with students and collaborating with external partners to deliver valuable initiatives.
In addition to supporting our enterprise programmes you will also support coordination of our ongoing activities and sessions including showcase and networking events; alumni entrepreneur panel sessions and interactive enterprise sessions delivered with academic partners within the curriculum.
We are looking for someone with previous experience of developing and delivering enterprise support bringing experience in different industries and sectors to offer new ideas that enhance our overall service. You should have a creative approach especially around engaging students and graduates and have previous experience of providing advice to individuals. You will be comfortable working independently while playing a pivotal part in a small fast-paced and ambitious team seeking to make a real impact on students and graduates prospects.

The appointed candidate will normally be employed through our subsidiary company BCU Support Services Limited a wholly owned subsidiary of Birmingham City University. Appointees with prior LGPS membership who wish to enter the LGPS scheme will be able to do so and will be employed by Birmingham City University directly.
