Summary:
The Assistant Support Worker will assist in delivering high-quality care and support to vulnerable adults older people or individuals with learning disabilities mental health needs or physical impairments. Working as part of a person-centred team the postholder will help service users maintain independence improve wellbeing and participate in their communities. The role involves providing practical emotional and social support in line with individual care plans and the Councils commitment to dignity equality and empowerment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care tasks where required (e.g. washing dressing toileting) while maintaining dignity and respect.
- Promote safeguarding and report any concerns regarding the safety or welfare of vulnerable adults.
- Adhere to Islington Councils policies on equality diversity and inclusion.
- Support health and safety within supported living or community environments.
- Monitor and report any changes in service users wellbeing or circumstances to senior staff.
Essentials:
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
- Experience (paid voluntary or personal) of supporting vulnerable adults older people or people with disabilities.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable adults.

- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires a Enhanced DBS
