Job Description

- Under the supervision of the assigned supervisor performs a wide variety of skilled and semi-skilledpaintingandpaintingrelated tasks in the maintenance repair and improvement of the facility and equipment:Responsible for thefollowing:
- Interiorwalls ceilings flooringequipment-Ensure all interior painted surfaces are free of damage and in superior condition in accordance with the facility standards.
- Exterior-Ensure allexteriorpainted surfaces are free of damage and in superior condition in accordance with the facility standards.
- Leads and performs skilled/semi-skilledpainting and surfacework in connection with themaintenance repair or alteration of facilities and equipment.
- Prepares surfaces for painting including patching sandingsealing caulking to ensure a professional finish
- Efficient in removal of old paint graffitiand other markings.
- Performs or assistsin the assembly/erection of staging platformsor any other means necessary to provide access toareas not easily accessible.
- Operates a variety of specialized equipment includingpressure washers power operatedspray-paintingdevices andjob relatedmachinery.
- Receives and responds to work orders; ensures compliance with building health and safety codes and standards.
- Completes work with accuracy completeness and compliance with established standards and procedures.
- Assists in post construction inspections project planning and evaluation and coordination or work with other trades.
- Plans organizes and lays out assigned tasks; interprets plans diagrams blueprints sketches and specifications; performs tasks from verbal and written instructions and work orders.
- Estimates material requirements from drawings blueprints or written instructions.
- Assesses labor material and equipment needed for assigned projects monitors inventory levels of materials and equipment.
- Maintains various records related to work orders and assigned activities
- Maintains shop and work areas in a safe clean and orderly condition.
- Perform area inspections and completes any corrective action to ensure a safe and clean workspace.
- Completes as directed by site leadership any additional group/individual tasks that require the participation of the full/partial facility maintenance team to ensure and safe clean and organized workplace.
