Account Executive - Management Liability
Description
Lockton are currently recruiting for an Account Executive to join the Management Liability team in this role you will be responsible for the servicing of Lockton clients ensuring that the business is retained and developed as well identifying any new opportunities.
Role responsibilities will include:
- Effectively managing an existing renewal book along with identifying new opportunities including managing all renewals and adjustments in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide support in the overall servicing of the clients insurance programme and retention of the business with agreed Lockton procedures.
- Preparation of renewal questionnaire and collection of submission information from clients and prospective clients.
- Obtaining quotations both for new and renewal business.
- Preparation and issuance of renewal quotation reports.
- Issuance of policy documentation invoices and mid-term amendments checking for accuracy prior to issue to the client.
- Collection of data/statistics for inclusion in benchmarking database market presentation and relevant systems.
- Liaise with insurers and clients as required with prompt and accurate resolution of any queries.
- Assist with efforts to handle smaller business more efficiently including the use of binders facilities and client portals. This includes supporting Lockton colleagues around the UK with your specialist knowledge where they are placing ML insurance for their SME clients.
- Provide support in drafting reports/presentations/bulletins for use both internally and externally.
- Identifying risk exposures for clients/prospects and advising on insurance solutions in consultation experienced members of the ML team.
- Maintain a current knowledge of cover written by the major insurers and communicate to appropriate Associates.
- Keep abreast of insurance market developments and communicate to those Associates as deemed appropriate.
Candidate Profile
- Experience of working within the insurance industry or for a large corporate.
- CII qualified or progression preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing with clients insurers and other Lockton associates. Preference for candidates with the personal presence to interface with these stakeholders well and proven ability to build and maintain good business relationships.
- A general understanding of the broking process and knowledge of or willingness to learn about the general and legal principles of insurance.
- An understanding of or willingness to learn about the regulatory and legislative landscape affecting Directors and Officers Liability insurance and related insurance.
- Ability to or willingness to learn how to gain an understanding of a clients business issues insurance needs and expectations and then prepare a broking presentation that accurately reflects the cover required and meets the clients demands and needs.
- Ability to prepare client presentations summaries and other documentation as required
- Willingness and ability to continue to develop knowledge through formal and informal learning both internal and external to the company.
- Ability to manage time prioritise and ensure that deadlines are met without compromising quality.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills including research and investigation.
- Ability to compile analyse and interpret financial information and data to facilitate decision making with an interest in supporting and developing Locktons digital technology solutions.
