About the Program
The Orange Door network is operational across Victoria to delivery intake and initial response to those experiencing family violence those using family violence and those who need support with the care and wellbeing of employs and supports a team of Family Violence Victim Survivor practitioners and team leaders who in partnership with a small number of other agencies work within the Orange Door integrated delivery is supported by specialist Practice Leaders and onsite operational management provided by Family Safety Victoria
The Opportunity
The Family Violence Victim Survivors Practice Leader is a clinical leadership position.
The role is responsible for providing practice leadership and practitioner development around risk assessments risk management and responses for those experiencing family violence and those using family violence.
The Practice Leader will proactively build on specialist evidence-based family violence knowledge and capability across the Orange Door workforce in line with the Multi Agency Risk Assessment and Management framework Orange Door service model and integrated practice framework.
This will include the delivery of specialist consultations auditing reflective practice service model develops and delivery of interventions to complex and/or serious risk cases.
The Practice Leader will work in partnership with Family Safety Victoria leadership and local management other Practice Leaders and Team Leaders to lead family violence informed practice and practice development.
About You
A minimum Bachelor level qualification in Social Work or recent employment in the family violence sector or equivalency met through the 7 Equivalency Principles in line with the minimum mandatory qualification requirements. Please see for further information.
Demonstrated experience in leading family violence practice within complex service delivery contexts particularly multi-disciplinary and multi-agency approaches to the provision of services to vulnerable children families and diverse communities is desirable for this role.
