Statutory Financial Manager Sweden

About the Position

Essity is seeking a Statutory Financial Manager (Sweden) to lead statutory accounting and reporting activities. This role ensures financial operations are accurate compliant and aligned with internal and external standards. You will work in a dynamic matrix organization collaborating across teams and driving continuous improvement. You will report to Finance Manager Europe North & TMEA.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Ensure that financial activities are conducted accurately ethically and comply with accounting principles regulations and Essity standards.

• Accountable for the organizations financial reports and presenting insights to the management and/or company boards.

• Participate in month-end closing process within a matrix organization.

• Drive quality checks and ensure statutory accounting process compliance.

• Ensure compliance with Key Internal Controls within own area of responsibility.

• Support coordinate and secure execution of external and internal audits.

• Act as a key advisor on accounting matters providing professional accounting advice in a complex area of expertise.

• Foster cooperation between the GBS (Global Business Services) organizational units across the matrix organization.

• Accountable for continuous collaboration with local regional and global stakeholders.

• Contribute to projects enhancing statutory accounting services.

• Manage costs within own responsibility area.

• Maintain end to end thinking and performance in everyday service delivery.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone who has strong knowledge of accounting principles regulations and standards. To be successful in the role you need to be a communicative team-player who operates with a positive and pragmatic can-do attitude embracing change and dealing with ambiguity and complexity. You are being able to working with multiple stakeholders while balancing multiple priorities. You are self-driven and communicate feel comfortable in matrix environment.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in Finance managerial roles

• Degree in Finance or Accounting (Certified Accountant preferred)

• Fluent in Swedish and English

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA is an advantage
