About the Position
Position Summary
The President is the chief administrative officer of the school and serves as the executive of its Consultative School Board as well as a non-voting ex-officio member. The President is responsible for all aspects of the schools faith formation operations advancement facilities and public relations. The President must be committed to the schools mission and to nurturing and expanding the schools profile in the community and beyond. The President is a practicing Roman Catholic.
General Responsibilities
The President professionally serves the high school and acts in accordance with Catholic doctrine and moral teachings.
The President is directly responsible for the overall operations of the school by ensuring a meticulously maintained facility sufficient resources sound fiscal management and financial stability of the school through direct oversight of the business operations advancement alumni community relations and enrollment management activities.
The President promotes the good reputation and values of the school in acting as the primary liaison between the school the local Consultative School Board and the Diocese.
Working collaboratively with the school principal the campus ministry moderator and the administrative staff the President ensures that Catholic values permeate the school culture.
The President is the chief spokesperson for the school provides visible personal leadership to the school community and articulates and promotes the high school to the school community and the external public.
The President is the chief liaison between the school and the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux.
Qualifications
Masters Degree or above required:
Advanced degree with Education Administration/Leadership certification preferred OR
An advanced degree with highly successful working experience in Marketing/Public Relations Communications Business or a related area.
Catholic Secondary School experience preferred particularly formation in Catholic identity and Catholic school leadership.
Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church who demonstrates commitment to and appreciation for the schools Catholic education mission and values.
Demonstrated leadership abilities to develop and implement strategic plans attract and retain team members and foster a collaborative culture among faculty/staff.
Proven success preferably in an academic setting with the ability to nurture and expand the schools profile in the community and beyond.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
About the School
Edward Douglas White Catholic High School a co-educational institution of the Diocese of Houma- Thibodaux serves students in grades 8 through 12 from Thibodaux and the surrounding communities. Rooted in the Catholic faith the school is dedicated to imparting the Catholic faith promoting academic excellence and enhancing self-esteem.
