Are you a passionate Biology Teacher dedicated to inspiring curiosity about the natural world and advancing scientific understanding
A leading independent school in Oxford renowned for its academic rigour and forward-thinking ethos is seeking an exceptional Biology Teacher to join its thriving Science Faculty from January 2026. This is a full-time permanent position within one of the UKs most academically distinguished cities offering an outstanding opportunity to teach talented motivated students.
The Role
The successful candidate will teach Biology across Key Stages 35 fostering inquiry creativity and critical thinking through dynamic and practical lessons. You will deliver high-quality teaching in areas such as genetics ecology physiology and molecular biology using experimentation and data analysis to deepen understanding. There will also be opportunities to contribute to A-Level and Oxbridge preparation lead fieldwork trips and supervise extended scientific projects.
Beyond classroom teaching you will take part in the schools extensive co-curricular programme contributing to Science Olympiad coaching conservation initiatives and eco-sustainability projects. The Biology department is known for its supportive and collaborative atmosphere where teachers work together to share expertise and continually develop best practice.

What Were Looking For
Degree in Biology or a related field with QTS/PGCE (or international equivalent)
Ability to teach Biology up to A-Level with confidence and expertise
