Were seeking someone to join our Customer Authentication team as a Senior Directory service Engineer in CDRR to help modernize and ensure the authentication of E*TRADEs ten million plus customers is fast and secure.

This is a Principal Cyber Security Engineer position at Vice President level which is part of the job family responsible for which is part of the job family responsible for defining and executing the vision and strategy for the cyber security engineering function along with developing and maintaining software solutions and taking initiatives that support business needs.

What youll do in the role:
- Lead the development of new ideas and/or policies in own area.
- Analyze multiple sets of information to create summaries for various stakeholders.
- Contribute to the function through complex project tasks and initiatives.
- Design architecture implementation enhancement and maintenance of a key multitier application for ForgeRock Directory Services (including schema design domain architecture and replication).
- Manage maintain and troubleshoot Directory Services products such as Ping Directory.
- Implement and manage Group Policies and Organizational Units.
- Automate repetitive tasks using scripting languages such as Python.
- Create and implement testing strategies and plans to ensure thorough coverage via unit and integration tests of Directory Services code and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues ensuring timely resolution.
- Contribute to defining improving review guidelines and norms. Conduct code review adhering to team norms coding standards and best practices.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to system architecture configuration and processes.
- Mentor and guide junior developers in team and promoting collaborative team environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends and ForgeRock product updates to formulate development strategies and design. What youll bring to the role:
- Experience in executing IT strategy delivery and complex initiatives.
- Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner to technology and business leadership.
- Advanced understanding of functional area and competent understanding of competitive environment.
- In depth experience with LDAP protocol and Directory Services preferably experience in Ping Directory.
- Knowledge of operating system administration Linux platforms.
- Understanding and hands-on experience with ForgeRock Identity suite (Access Manager/ Directory Services/Identity Gateway functionalities and its various modules).
- Proven experience with Java Spring Boot JavaScript and related technologies.
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming concepts and design.
- Thorough Knowledge of various protocols including OAuth OpenID Connect SAML LDAP and other industry-standard authentication/authorization protocols.
- Experience in leading development projects and mentoring team members.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to details.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- At least 10 years relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150000 and $210000 per year at the commencement of employment. However base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package which depending on the position may also include commission earnings incentive compensation discretionary bonuses other short and long-term incentive packages and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
