Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technician to join our surgical team for a 13-week contract. The ideal candidate will support surgeons and medical staff during operative procedures ensuring all instruments and equipment are prepared and maintained in a sterile and efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments supplies and equipment
Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by passing instruments and supplies as needed
Maintain sterile fields and adhere to strict infection control protocols
Monitor and manage surgical equipment functionality
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and procedure efficiency
Document and manage surgical supplies and instrument counts
Comply with all hospital policies and regulatory standards
Qualifications
Certified Surgical Technician or equivalent credential
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with EPIC electronic health record system
Proven experience in a surgical or hospital environment
Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical procedures
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
