Job Description

MANAGER ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE AT MASCO CANADA (On-Site St. Thomas ON Office)

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller the Manager Credit and Collections leads a team focused on credit collections accounts receivable and rebate/commission management. Youll work across departments to improve processes support business goals and ensure strong financial operations.

Credit & Collections

  • Lead and optimize credit and collection processes to improve cash flow and reduce bad debt.

  • Monitor customer accounts assess credit risk and negotiate payment terms.

  • Review daily banking activity and validate incoming payments (EFT wire).

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve issues and support credit policy compliance.

Accounts Receivable

  • Oversee invoicing and payment processing ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Reconcile A/R ledgers and support accurate month-end reporting.

  • Review customer pricing credits and account set-ups in JDE.

  • Perform Accounts Receivable month-end close journal entries and reconciliation.

  • Ensure controls are implemented and performed related to the order-to-cash cycle

  • Prepare working papers related to Accounts Receivable to support year-end income tax preparation

Rebate and Commission Programs

  • Oversee tracking and disbursement of rebates and commissions in conjunction with the commercial finance team.

  • Partner with Finance and Sales to align processes and resolve discrepancies.

Process Improvement & Leadership

  • Lead and support process improvements and automation efforts.

  • Coach and develop your team to meet performance and growth goals.

  • Use data and industry trends to guide strategic decision-making.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in credit and collections or related finance roles.

  • 3 years of experience managing people or leading teams.

  • Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and customer adjustments.

  • Proficiency with ERP systems (J.D. Edwards or similar).

  • Advanced Excel skills and solid knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Preferred Assets:

  • CPA designation or relevant post-secondary education in finance/accounting.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

  • Knowledge of pricing structures financial reconciliations and rebates.

  • Demonstrated success in process improvement and automation.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
