Anderson Auto is looking for an office manager/ controllerto join our team. The Controller/Office Manager will be responsible for overseeing the activities of the accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including but not limited to monthly financial statements.

Required Education/Skills/Abilities

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or a related field preferred.
  • Ten years or more of related experience required.
  • Automotive industry experience preferred.
  • Experience supervising 3 to 5 staff preferred.
  • Must have intermediate to advance knowledge of MS Office including MS Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of computers printers monitors etc. required.

Description

Job Purpose:

The Controller/Office Manager will be responsible for overseeing the activities of the accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including but not limited to monthly financial statements.

Job Duties & Responsibilities (essential functions):

Oversee the accounting departments activities for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including but not limited to internal and external monthly financial statements annual audits and annual budgets.

Oversee the activities of the disbursement department ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable purchase orders petty cash cash control payroll processing and total corporate payroll tax compliance.

Oversee the activities of the accounts receivable department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings cash receipts application etc.; funding service management which includes weekly funding reports and customer service; quarter and year-end payroll closing including federal and state reports; and check statistic management.

Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems processes and data and enhance the companys value.

Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile special reports.

Communicate with co-workers management clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.

Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Automotive experience preferred.

Experience with Microsoft Suite (Excel Word etc.)

Knowledge of computers printers monitors etc. required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Automotive industry experience preferred.

Experience supervising 3 to 5 staff preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position manages all employees in the business office and is responsible for performance management safety training hiring and termination of the employees within that department. When assigned the controller will also supervise the dealerships cashier/ receptionist.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 am. to 5:00 pm. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Note: Schedules are subject to change. Two-weeks notice of a schedule change will be provided whenever possible.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.
