About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a strategic and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Equities Division within Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Markets Division at Wells Fargo. The CFO of Equities partners closely with business and finance leadership to drive strategic decision-making financial performance and balance sheet optimization. The role will report directly to the CFO of Markets with accountability and responsibility to the co-heads of Equities.


In this role you will:

  • Lead all aspects of the Equities Finance team including financial planning financial reporting and balance sheet and capital management
  • Develop and execute financial strategies to drive growth efficiency and profitability across all Equities businesses
  • Act as a key partner to the Equities business and provide Finance leadership across all day-to-day aspects of the business
  • Develop presentations and analyses in support of business reviews and strategic discussions with management
  • Plan financial performance with the desks; connect the usage of financial tech and human resources with revenue to assess returns and define the strategic plan
  • Lead detailed review of direct and indirect expenses headcount; identify and track expense initiatives
  • Support the desks developing new products and business initiatives through profitability review
  • Leadership skills: The ability to lead large cross-functional teams influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex financial concepts effectively is critical.
  • Strategic mindset: Needs to be a strategic results-driven thinker who can balance day-to-day execution with long-term vision.
  • Adaptability: Must be comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to a constantly changing market and regulatory environment.


Required Qualifications:

  • 8 years of Finance experience or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience training military experience education
  • 4 years of management or leadership experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience as an Equities CFO or experience driving financial and/or risk analysis for Equities desks
  • Understanding of Equities
  • Effective communicator and experience presenting to management
  • Experience in developing financial projections to support strategic decisions and initiatives
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to influence outcomes
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Outstanding problem solving skills
  • Ability to perform in a demanding environment

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements skills experience or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$215000.00 - $355000.00
