Job Description

Overview

We are currently seeking a Consumer MarketingInternto join the Central Marketing team this summer. The Central Marketing team supports digital marketing processes for various departments and imprints across HarperCollins US. This is a unique opportunity to learn about book publishing and marketing and to work with a close-knit collaborative teamthe perfect role for someone who is detail-oriented social media-savvy creative and an analytical thinker.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assists in developing and creating HarperCollins corporate social media content.
  • Advises team on social media trends news and overall platforms.
  • Communicates performance on social media posts and campaigns.
  • Provides general team support including content planning and organization website collection updates and more.
  • Attends seasonal and recurring meetings with the team.
  • Collaborate on advertising research projects for emerging strategies and technology
  • Support digital advertising team with campaign execution QA and reporting

Qualifications

  • Candidates who are available to work in a full-time capacity in 2026 or 2027 are eligible for this internship; open to rising seniors recent graduates masters students or entry level candidates with up to two years of work experience.
  • Candidates must be available to work 28 hours per week Monday through Thursday from June 8 to August 13 2026 at our New York City office. This internship is compensated at a rate of $18 per hour.
  • Applicants mustbe authorized towork in the United States.

  • Ideal candidates are either currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or masters program.
  • A passion for books is highly valued!
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team in a fast-paced dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent organizational attention to detail and time-management skills.
  • A positive can-do attitude excitement to learn and an enthusiastic creative self-starter.
  • Passion for books publishing social media and marketing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram TikTok Facebook X and Threads.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and social media content creation tools including TikTok CapCut and Canva. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Sprout a plus.
