SUPERVISOR: Litigation Partners
LOCATION: New York
SALARY:The base salary for associate positions is $225000 - $250000 depending upon class year.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
- Proficiency in handling every stage of a litigation in state and federal courts and various ADR forums including conducting pre-filing fact investigations drafting pleadings motions effective discovery requests and targeted discovery responses.
- Strong research and writing skills are crucial as is knowledge of state and federal procedures.
- Manage and oversee all aspects of assigned cases including conducting legal research drafting pleadings conducting discovery and representing clients in court proceedings.
- Attend depositions hearings mediations and trials as necessary.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
SPECIFIC SKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong critical thinking analytical writing and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters multiple clients and multiple cases working with all the partners in the Group with pragmatism patience excellent judgment and delivering stellar work product.
- Attention to detail and demonstrated problem-solving skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 4 7 years of law firm experience in a Litigation Group.
- Strong academic credentials and membership in the New York Bar.
- Demonstrated interest (and ideally some expertise) in areas relevant to our practice areas such as copyright trademark professional responsibility and commercial law issues (e.g. breach of contract negligence and fraud).
