Locality is looking for a Cloud Operations Administrator to help manage and maintain our AWS environment. This role is ideal for someone with foundational AWS experience who is eager to grow into a cloud engineering career. You will assist with IAM management EC2 instance operations S3 policies and system configurations while learning automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices. Youll play a key part in the growth of our AWS environment while adding support to our IT teams day-to-day operation.
Assist in managing AWS IAM users roles and policies to ensure secure access.
Support EC2 instance lifecycle: provisioning configuration patching and monitoring.
Help maintain S3 buckets including policies permissions and lifecycle rules.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines automate deployments and enhance cloud infrastructure reliability.
Perform basic system configurations and updates on Linux/Windows instances.
Monitor AWS resources using CloudWatch and respond to alerts.
Support developers with AWS-related issues and environment setup.
Ensure compliance with internal and external security standards.
Implement and monitor encryption backups and disaster recovery strategies.
Document processes and maintain runbooks for common tasks.
Participate in cost monitoring and tagging for resource tracking.
Respond to and resolve tickets related to systems cloud infrastructure networking and end-user issues.
3 years of experience in cloud infrastructure support roles ideally in AWS-heavy environments.
Proven experience managing AWS environments in a production setting.
Strong knowledge of IAM EC2 S3 and related AWS services.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. CloudFormation Terraform).
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Python Bash).
Understanding of cloud security best practices.
AWS certifications (e.g. Solutions Architect SysOps Administrator) are a plus.
Familiarity with Microsoft Entra Single Sign-On (SSO) and user provisioning in Microsoft ecosystems is a plus.
Hands-on experience with ticketing systems and day-to-day IT support operations.
Compensation for the role includes a competitive salary of $100000-$125000 (dependent on years of experience level of education obtained as well as applicable skillset) and an excellent benefits package (including but not limited to health care benefits retirement benefits and paid days off).
