WHY WE NEED YOU:
The Program Manager Health & Social Services supports AAFEs mission to empower immigrant communities by ensuring the success of overall planning program delivery and evaluation and budget management of the Health & Social Services department. The Program Manager is responsible for thinking strategically and creatively about the intersection of health & social services organizingand community development.
The Program Manager will work with a team of managers and directors to integrate program delivery operations and advocacy of Health & Social Services Team with AAFE Programs across multiple community offices. These program services include housing & tenant advocacy immigration and youth and family development.
The Program Manager leads a team of counselors based in multiple offices who are responsible for five government contracts as well as discretionary funding to provide health and social services.
Strategic Planning & Partnership Building
- Research and monitor policy changes affecting health and social services.
- Explore and develop program services to meet the needs of low-income communities and communities of color.
- Expand mission-driven partnerships while maintaining existing relationships with community partners.
- Align health & social services and advocacy with AAFE mission.
- Integrate other AAFE program services in health & social services development and operations.
- Coordinate with other team members on strategy in community and legislative campaigns.
- Lead development of community education/empowerment model and curriculum.
- Work with Fund Development team to sustain funding for health & social services.
Program Operations- Develop program budget and monitor expenses.
- Provide and coordinate technical knowledge related to health & social services.
- Review contracts prepare reporting and site visits related to health & social services.
- Evaluate and improve case management and service delivery in health & social services.
- Standardize case notes case filesand other data practices within the department.
- Collect and manage both qualitative and quantitative data to create impact reports.
- Monitor individual team and portfolio performance and implement improvements to improve efficiency and effectiveness of both performance and service.
Staff Supervision- Manage cultivate and supervise team members in the health & social services.
- Motivate staff and foster a team approach to high-quality and innovative service and model positive and responsible behaviors through actions and interactions.
- Facilitate regular training and meetings; model appropriate practices; and continuously challenge and support staff to raise standards.
- Cultivate a team culture to ensure a safe inclusive supportive and respectful working environment.
