Jewellery CAD Designer creates detailed 3D models and technical drawings of jewelry using CAD software like Rhino or MatrixGold often to generate photorealistic renderings for client approval and manufacturing. Key responsibilities include transforming design concepts into precise manufacturable models collaborating with design and production teams ensuring design feasibility and understanding material properties and manufacturing processes. This role requires a creative mindset meticulous attention to detail proficiency in relevant CAD software and a strong understanding of the jewelry production lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

3D Modeling: Develop precise and detailed 3D models of jewelry pieces using specialized CAD software.

Concept to Creation: Translate design ideas sketches and concepts into technically sound 3D models suitable for production.

Technical Documentation: Create accurate technical drawings specifications and bill of materials needed for manufacturing.

Rendering & Visualization: Generate high-quality photorealistic 3D renders for client presentations internal approvals and marketing.

Collaboration: Work closely with jewelry designers production staff and other teams to refine designs and ensure feasibility.

Design Development: Contribute to the development of new innovative and market-driven jewelry designs.

Manufacturing Insights: Maintain an understanding of jewelry construction material properties (like diamonds) and casting processes to ensure designs can be manufactured efficiently.

Required Skills and Qualifications

CAD Software Proficiency: Expertise in CAD software such as Rhino MatrixGold ZBrush or similar.

Technical Drawing: Ability to produce detailed and accurate technical drawings and specifications.

Detail Orientation: A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in every aspect of the design.

Material Knowledge: Understanding of different metals gemstones and their properties.
