Barista

What youll do:

Bring joy to our guests mornings from our small coffee van serving freshly brewed coffee and delicious cookies. With your barista skills and warm customer service youll prepare a variety of beverages while working independently. Youll be responsible for opening the van taking and processing orders making coffee cleaning the machine and work area and packing down. The role requires multitasking and handling high-volume orders under pressure. On a daily basis you will:

• Undertake general waiting and service duties of food (baked goods) and beverages.
• Ensure accurate processing of dockets including cashiering duties.
• Setup cleaning and closing of coffee van

This role offers approximately 15-20 hours per week with your typical shifts rostered from 7:30am to 11am. You will have flexibility to work weekends public/school holidays and over the festive Christmas and New Years period. A minimum 6-month commitment is ideal!

What youll bring:  

• Strong barista skills (ability to manage high number of orders in a short window)
• A vibrant attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team and autonomously
• Genuine interest and knowledge of beverage products
• A reputation for providing excellent customer service engaging in great conversations with our guests
• Possess a Do Food Safely Certificate of completion
• Flexible attitude to work hours over a 7 day roster including weekends and public holidays
