We are seeking a passionate and strategic Portfolio Director of People & Culture to lead the people agenda across 11 hotels spanning 4 states and in 4 distinct brands within the renowned Accor network.
About the Role
As the Portfolio Director of People & Culture you will be instrumental in driving and executing the People Strategy for our portfolio. Working closely with hotel General Managers Executive Committee and senior hotel leaders youll provide strategic leadership and day-to-day guidance to support over 400 team members ensuring their development engagement and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Direction: Develop and execute a portfolio-wide People strategy aligned with Accors People & Culture direction and Heartist values ensuring all team members feel empowered to pioneer the art of responsible hospitality
- Leadership Coaching & Support: Partner with GMs and Department Heads to coach develop and uplift leadership capability and team performance across all operational and functional areas of the business
- Talent & Workforce Planning: Identify high-potential talent build robust succession pipelines and support workforce planning across multiple sites prioritising interdepartmental cross exposure and progression within the portfolio
- Employee Advocacy: Champion a fair transparent and inclusive work environment by leading processes related to industrial relations and workers compensation with integrity professionalism and empathy
- Inspire People & Culture: Lead and develop a capable team of 3 HR professionals to deliver consistent high-impact people support across the portfolio
- Diversity Equity & Inclusion: Partner with community organisations and internal stakeholders to champion diversity equity and inclusion across all properties
- ESG Leadership: Collaborate with key stakeholders to embed ESG (Environmental Social & Governance) priorities into the people agenda and hotel operations
Qualifications :
About You
- A strategic People leader with proven experience in multi-site or regional roles ideally within hospitality retail or service industries.
- Deep knowledge of Australian employment law IR practices and workers compensation.
- A natural coach and trusted advisor to senior leaders with strong influencing and relationship-building skills.
- Passionate about people development and creating inclusive and high-performing cultures.
- Experience in ESG and DEI implementation is highly regarded.
- Approaches challenges with kindness professionalism and a solutions-focused mindset.
