Job Summary
As Head Mixologist you will lead and inspire the bar team at Altus Rooftop Bar and Lounge creating innovative luxury cocktail experiences that delight and surprise our guests high above Melbourne. Youll design and showcase seasonal menus champion local and premium ingredients and set the standard for service excellence across the team.
More than just mixing drinks youll be creating memorable moments connecting with guests sharing the story behind each cocktail and mentoring your team to deliver an unforgettable experience in one of Melbournes most elevated destinations. Key responsibilities:
Lead mentor and inspire the bar team to deliver exceptional service and craft unforgettable experiences
Design create and execute unique luxury cocktail menus at Altus
Deliver engaging guest experiences through storytelling and a passion for mixology
Champion product knowledge and ensure premium standards in beverage preparation and presentation
Work closely with the Food & Beverage leadership team to deliver seamless experiences across all outlets
Maintain high levels of organisation cost control and operational efficiency within the bar
Drive beverage trends and elevate Altus reputation as Melbournes destination rooftop bar
Build strong relationships with suppliers to source unique products and support innovation
Qualifications :
Expertise in mixology cocktail creation and beverage innovation
Proven experience leading and developing a bar team ideally within a luxury hotel or high-end bar environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mentor a team
Excellent guest engagement skills with a natural ability to connect and create memorable moments
A passion for premium service standards and attention to detail
Strong organisational and cost management skills
Creativity energy and a drive to position Altus Rooftop Bar and Lounge as one of Melbournes most exceptional destinations
