VMware Expert

This is a remote position.

• The candidate needs to have availability to travel to Germany for workshops/onboarding max 15 days for this year
  

• Design implement and maintain VMware infrastructures including vSphere vCenter and ESXi;
  
• Architect and optimize VMware clusters with High Availability (HA) DRS vMotion and Storage vMotion;
  
• Integrate Bladecenter and SAN/NAS storage solutions into VMware environments;
  
• Lead the design and deployment of reference architectures and new VMware clusters;
  
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation guidelines and best practices to support scalability and operational excellence;
  
• Provide consulting expertise and ensure stability in high-availability mission-critical environments.
  

Requirements

• 5 years professional experience strong VMware project history able to consult;
  
• Deep expertise in VMware technologies: VMware vSphere vCenter ESXi VMware Clustering and High Availability (HA) concepts;
  
• Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) vMotion Storage vMotion Strong knowledge in architecture & system design for VMware-based infrastructures;
  
• Hands-on experience with: Bladecenter SAN/NAS storage integration into VMware environments;
  
• Proven experience designing and deploying initial VMware clusters / reference architectures;
  
• Experience with documentation & guideline creation for scaling and extending infrastructure;
  
• Consultant should be experienced in high-availability environments;
  
• Hands On Attitude;
  
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  

• Microsoft Licensing knowledge in a Data Center context (Windows Server CALs virtualization rights/entitlements). VMware Tanzu / Kubernetes or Cloud-Native knowledge;
  
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform Ansible) in VMware environments. Monitoring & operational experience (Prometheus vRealize vROps);
  
• Certifications: VMware Certified Professional (VCP) VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) or VMware Cloud certifications. ITIL knowledge for operational transitions;
  
• Networking concepts (VLAN VXLAN Distributed Switches NSX-T beneficial but not mandatory);
  
• German is a plus.
