Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and patient-focused Casual Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice in Wellington New this role you will play a vital part in ensuring a seamless and positive experience for our patients while also providing chairside assistance to our dental professionals.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist clinicians during dental procedures and ensure patients feel comfortable and cared for
- Maintain sterilisation and infection control protocols to the highest standard
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials before each appointment
- Manage stock levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and provide general patient support
- Ensure daily operations run smoothly through strong teamwork and communication
Hours:
This is a casual role offering flexibility to cover shifts as needed. Hours may vary depending on practice requirements with opportunities to work across weekdays.
Qualifications :
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in using dental practice management software
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures (preferred but not required)
- Previous experience in dental assisting or reception (helpful but not required)
- A friendly enthusiastic and detail-oriented approach to work
- Willingness to collaborate with the dental team and contribute to a positive work environment
