Job Summary
North Avon Dental Christchurch is looking for a full-time experienced Dental Assistant to join our team!
Are you ready to take the next step in your dental career and become a key part of a friendly fast-paced practice Lumino North Avon is seeking a dedicated Part-time Dental Assistant to join our team permanently and play an essential role in delivering outstanding patient care.
As our new Dental Assistant youll provide crucial chairside support to our clinicians helping ensure every patient has a smooth positive experience from start to finish.
- Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Assist dentists during dental procedures ensuring proper instrument handling and patient comfort
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments according to established protocols
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth operations and excellent patient care
- Promote a positive and supportive environment for patients and colleagues
The hours for this role are:
- Tuesday 8.15am - 7:15pm
- Wednesday 8.15am - 5.30pm
- Thursday 8.15am - 6pm
- Friday 7.45am - 4.30pm
Start date February 2026
Qualifications :
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to providing outstanding patient experience
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures (preferred but not required)
- Previous dental assistant experience is preferred
- A friendly enthusiastic and detail-oriented approach to work
- Willingness to collaborate with the dental team and contribute to a positive work environment
